「RTざんまい」巻頭言とは？
What are the Cover Stories?

Initially, the cover stories were meant to be the front-page essay per
issue. Now it is the collection of "theme-free" essays (essays without
any specific theme). RT will select the theme freely. However, if it is
related to the major contents of "Railways Zammai" and "Bridge Zammai",
it will be classified into those categories and not Cover
Stories. Therefore, there might be no Cover Story in an issue of RT
Zammai, although it is expected to appear once per issue. It also might
happen that there are more than one cover stories in an issue.

「巻頭言」
はもともと
「RTざんまい」
各号の巻頭に載せられていたエッセイでした。
現在は
「テーマフリー」
な、
つまりテーマ自由なエッセイのことを
「巻頭言」
と称して、
各号に掲載しています。
ただし、
今後は
「鉄道ざんまい」
および
「橋梁ざんまい」
に分類すべき内容のものは、
巻頭言的であってもそちらに分類しますので、
「ざんまい」
のある号には
「巻頭言」
がない、
ということもあり得ると思います。
逆に、
「巻頭言」
が複数ということもあるかも知れません。
