An international sleeper train, which departed from Paris East Station (Gare de l'Est) for Vienna through Strasbourg and Munich, caught fire when it was running near Nancy in eastern France, killing 12, the article reports. The on-board electric heating system is the suspected cause of the fire. The coach is owned by German national rail carrier Deutsche Bahn AG.
