Last updated 29 November 2002 Ise Ohashi Bridge, Route 1, JapanPhotograph taken on: 6 August 1999. (Larger image) Ise Ohashi Bridge on Japanese national road Route No. 1, which goes over Nagara and Ibi Rivers near their mouths. The Nagara River Barrage can be seen behind the bridge. The bridge, 1105.8 metres in length and 7.5 metres in width, has fifteen arch stiffened simple through trusses, each 72.m metres in length, and was completed in 1934. The combination of large old bridge and the barrage with round-shaped design is somewhat strange. Click here when the copyright notice appears on the images.
