A night's scene at the University of Birmingham
Photograph taken on: 12 December 2002. (Larger image)
A rather out-of-season photograph, the University at night during the winter, blurred by the mist. The shot was taken, standing near University railway station, facing east towards the centre of the campus.
The sculpture in the centre is called "Faraday", but the reason is unknown, especially if this Faraday means the famous figure in electrical engineering. It was given to the University as a gift from an artist, Sir Eduardo Paolozzi to mark the University's centenary in 2000.
