Union Jack at half mast over Queen Elizabeth Medical Centre attached to the University of Birmingham, expressing condolences of Britain to the world's worst ever terrorist attack on Tuesday, 11 September at New York and Washington in the United States of America. Although UK is a country where rather frequent terrorist attacks occur (e.g. those related in some ways to IRA), some hundreds of British citizens were feared dead in this atrocity, the number of which makes it the worst terrorist attack ever upon Britain.
