Birmingham lost it ... as expected -- European Capital of Culture

After being in this city for nearly two years, this sort of news makes me feel really sad. On the "Be in Birmingham" campaign site, the letter "Shock" was clearly visible today.

It is true that European Capital of Culture is not a well-known event, and I cannot fully comprehend the reason why Liverpool won (I have never been there, I remember...). However, it is also true that we have not been confident at all of Birmingham's victory. So, I now simply hope that the city will "go forward" as on the headline.
