Class 423 electric train "4-Vep", dwelling at Herne Hill Station south of London. The design, in which every pair of seats facing together has an exclusive door to get out of the car, is traditional in British railways. Called slam-door train, it is dangerous because it can be opened when the train is running. SRA plans to withdraw all slam-door stock by 2004.
