The electric kettle and the electric hob

The hob has been fitted to the flat I have borrowed in Birmingham. It is extremely slow in both heating up and cooling down, which makes cooking rather difficult. The kettle is the one I bought, and is made by Philips. With the power of 2.4 kW, it can bring about 1 litre of water in around one minute.
